MCAT® Scores
- MCAT scores earned in 2003 and later will be automatically released to the AMCAS program if you do not void your scores at the time of the exam. Once you release your scores, you cannot “unrelease” them; they will be included in all future AMCAS applications.
- Include only the MCAT exams you have taken at the time you certify and submit your AMCAS application. Do not include exams that you voided at the time of the exam. You are not required to include exams that you have not released to the AAMC.
- Most medical schools require that MCAT scores are no more than three (3) years old. Consult the schools to which you are applying to ensure you meet their requirements.
- To release MCAT scores earned between 1991 and 2003, go to the MCAT Score Reporting System.
- To release scores earned before 1991, please visit the MCAT Paper Score Request webpage.
- The scores resulting from non-standard exam administrations, i.e. testing with accommodations, are identical to scores from standard administrations. The AAMC does not annotate scores resulting from non-standard administrations of the MCAT exam.
AAMC PREview® Scores
- All PREview® scores from 2020 to the present will be automatically released to your AMCAS application (unless you voided your scores at the time of the exam) and will be included in all your future AMCAS applications.
- Schools that require or recommend PREview scores that you have designated in your AMCAS application will have access to your scores.
- Refer to the PREview program for a complete list of schools requiring or recommending the PREview exam.
- Before you submit your application, you must ensure all the PREview exams for which you have received scores are listed in this section.
Other Tests
If you are applying to a special program, such as an MD-PhD or an MBA-MD, medical schools may require other test scores in addition to the MCAT exam such as the GMAT, LSAT, MAT, or GRE.
- To include non-MCAT test scores in your application, click the “Yes” button on the “Other Tests” screen.
- When adding tests, enter separate tests for scores you received in the individual sections of the tests.
