Score Reporting through AMCAS:

When you apply to medical schools through the AMCAS program, the AAMC sends your MCAT scores to your designated schools along with your AMCAS application. The AMCAS application automatically includes MCAT scores for examinees who sat for the exam in 2003 onward—you do not have the option to withhold scores for exams taken in 2003 or later. Scores from 1991 to 2002 will be included only if you have released them to the AMCAS program. To release pre-2003 MCAT scores to the AMCAS program, use the online MCAT Score Reporting System.

Score Reporting to Non-AMCAS Institutions:

If you want your scores sent to a non-AMCAS school or application service, use the online MCAT THx system, when your scores are released. If the school to which you want your scores sent is not listed, you may print a copy of your scores from the MCAT Score Reporting System and mail them directly. Yes, you need to notify the AMCAS program immediately if you decide not to take the MCAT exam or decide on a different date. You may update your testing date at any time during the application cycle by signing into your AMCAS application, making the testing date change, and officially updating your application by clicking on the Resubmit your Application button on the Main Menu to save your changes. You must resubmit your application for medical schools to receive the updated information. This will not cause any processing delays of your AMCAS application.

Yes, the AMCAS program will verify and process your application without your MCAT scores. Once the scores are made available, the AMCAS program will upload your scores automatically into the application. If your application has already completed verification, the AMCAS program will send updates to the medical schools indicated in your application informing them of the update.
